Barbara Sumner has over 30 years of experience in fashion, industrial, and interior design and is fascinated by the human experience within the built environment. Barbara re-envisions the concept of 'modern' space with a tasteful consideration of materials and craftsmanship aligned with effortless comfort and elevated versatility.
Barbara worked as a Global Creative Director for Nike for 18+ years after living in NYC as a fashion designer. She has been acknowledged with multiple awards such as Fashion Designer of the Year, Committee Colbert French Luxury Goods Award, Best Dress Designs Lord and Taylor, and more. She has travelled the world attending design shows in Paris, Milan, London & Tokyo.
Barbara has an innate desire to share her knowledge and perspective on quality, best practices, and the beauty of great design in the living environment. She is knowledgeable of so many different iterations of styles, and has a unique ability to combine contrasting looks into a cohesive space. She hopes to share her love of the home with others, and help create wonderful experiences for her clients.
